Up to 90% of the skin damage attributed to aging is, in fact, caused by UVA and UVB, the evil twins of ultraviolet (UV) light. Sunlight contains several types of UV, most of which is absorbed by the earth's atmosphere. the majority of UV radiation which reaches the earth's surface, up to 95%, is UVA, with the remainder being made up of by UVB.
